SAVINGS GUARANTEE

Optiphase will 100% guarantee the savings percentage detailed in our formal savings calculated by way of a free survey conducted on the premises. If you do not achieve the stated saving percentage then we will provide a payment to maintain the payback of the equipment as detailed within our proposal. The payment value will be percentage based on the calculated projected savings originally detailed in our survey minus the actual savings.

Calculating and  projecting the savings percentage prior to installation

Each site will be treated as an individual case, but generally in order to provide a formal savings guarantee we need the following information.

  • 6-12 months’ worth of electrical consumption data, in the form of: Copies of electricity bills and/or metering data

  • The incoming voltage profile

  • An accurate list of the types of appliances and equipment used in the home.

This information is normally gathered by us or one of our appointed surveyors, by carrying out a comprehensive technical survey.

Any shortfall in either the quality or quantity of the information provided/gathered will restrict our ability to make or offer a savings guarantee. Any shortfall in information will also be highlighted within the savings guarantee.

Once accepted this information forms the basis of our calculations and the savings guarantee so cannot be adjusted or disputed.

Carrying out a comprehensive technical surveys is a non-chargeable service. This means that the customer will only pay for the 'Optiphase' unit and installation, should they decide to proceed with the proposal and quotation.

Formal savings guarantees are limited to the 'Optiphase Pro unit' unless otherwise agreed by by us in writing.

We provide a savings guarantee based on the information provided solely by the client. Our savings calculations and projections are based on the information provided and as such, we cannot be held responsible for any assumptions we are forced to make for missing or inaccurate information.

Qualifying the savings percentage after installation
Measuring and quantifying the results of an 'Optiphase installation' can be very difficult depending on many factors. You cannot simply compare last month’s bill without the optimiser, with this month’s bill with the optimiser, as this does not take the variable into account. Generally there are two methods for establishing the savings percentages:

  • The simplest option is for you to evaluate six month’s worth of kWH data from before and after the installation of the 'Optiphase' unit, considering whether the demand has increased or decreased. For example you may have installed or removed equipment and appliances, changed your usage hours or experienced an increase or decrease due to seasonal changes, or other external influences may affect your electrical consumption. All these need to be considered when assessing the savings.

Limitations
It is the savings percentage that is guaranteed. Any short fall in the projected kWh, CO2 or financial savings due to variables outside of our control, for example, but not limited to:

  • Reductions in electricity tariff or taxes

  • Reductions in operating hours

  • Reductions in demand or increased appliance levels

  • Changes in electrical infrastructure in the home or  garden or outbuildings or use of additional circuits and/or equipment or appliances

  • External influences, such as weather dependent loads including but not limited to hot tubs, swimming pools or jacuzzi's

…are not covered under our savings guarantee.
